Impulse Buy: Baby Lips

 

Hello Everyone! Today I have an Impulse Buy to show you.  I was checking out the Sonia Kashuk palettes at Target when I noticed an end cap covered in Baby Lips lip glosses.  They were on sale for $3, so I grabbed one.

 

 

This is the Neon Baby Lips in 85-Oh Orange.  It is a very bright orange, but is very sheer of an orange when it's on your lips.  I could tell it was orange lip gloss when I looked at my lips in the mirror, but it was very flattering on the lips.  And the smell!  This reminds me of drinking Orange Tang Drink Crystals.

 

 

 This is very moisturizing but I find it cakes at the corners of your mouth, quite quickly.  I was hoping for a longer lasting colour...but that's what you get for $3.

 

 

I apologize for the horrible swatch.  I wish I would've taken a closer one.  The colour is beautiful, I  just wish it would last longer.  This is one that I will be applying often throughout the day.

Hello Haul!

First off, thanks for bearing with me during my 2-year hiatus.  A lot of things have happened in the last two years, and I'm finally starting to feel good...so, what better time to start blogging again.  I didn't last very long the first time, as I only posted twice. This time I'm in it for the long haul!

So, I figured for my return to the World of Blogging, I would show you a MAC Haul!

My husband and I had appointments in a City about 4 hours from our hometown, so I decided to hit the MAC store inside the Hudson's Bay.  This is the closest MAC Store to me.  This kiosk, really, is full of super friendly sales associates, eager to help you find that special item your heart desires.  It had been 1.5 years since I've made a purchase at MAC. This is also the only MAC store that I know of, that will let you pay with your HBC Credit Card!  Since, we have no HBC where we live, I only use it when we go to MAC.

I went to MAC with the intention of picking up the MAC Stroke of Midnight Essentials Brush Kit, but was told they weren't going to launch until Thursday (we were there the Sunday before), so I decided to give a few other items a try.



Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus





I purchased the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus.  I like this powder, it  makes my foundation stay put and feels fantastic. I have been using this more often lately..it just gives a great finish.




Pro Longwear Foundation in NW15
 

I was excited to get a new foundation as my MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 in NW18 was due to be thrown out as it was coming to expiry.  This time around, I purchased the Pro Longwear Foundation in NW15. I argued with CounterGirl at MAC about NW15 being the right shade for me, she was saying it was too pale for me, and I kept saying, "No, it's the same colour I've been wearing for years'.  Turns out I was wrong, sorry CounterGirl.  I've used it twice and it works fine with my skin tone, can't even tell that it's a little lighter than my normal colour.  


Cremesheen Lipstick in Peach Blossom

I don't usually purchase lip products, as a rule. This is mainly due to respiratory issues, in which I constantly have to take puffers.  I never know what products are good.  I asked CounterGirl if she could recommend a great everyday lipstick and she recommended MAC's Cremesheen Lipstick in Peach Blossom.  This is the most beautiful Peachy-Pinky Shade, it's perfect for any look! 


Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare

I also purchased my first Cremesheen Lip Glass in Double Dare.  This is a beautiful berry coloured lip gloss.  I didn't think I'd like this lip gloss, but it's actually very nice.  Another nice pick by CounterGirl at MAC. 


Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe

Everytime I've ever gone into a MAC store, I've contemplated purchasing MAC's Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe.  This is the most beautiful brown shade I own, and I'm kicking myself in the butt for not getting this sooner!  I've had a lot of trouble using MAC Eyeshadows and this is the first that I can use without any hiccups.



Eyeshadow in Club

 I also purchased another MAC Eyeshadow in Club.  I purchased this one because it reminded me of MAC's Blue Brown Pigment, only in solid eyeshadow form.  I haven't used this shadow as of yet, but I will be trying it out in the days to come.  I'll let you know how I like it after I try it out for a while.
